The Layton Family Begins a New Chapter

In 1955, the Layton family's journey took a significant turn when Bill Layton made the bold decision to purchase Pontypinna Farm. This move marked the beginning of a new chapter, as the family relocated from their smaller farm in Painscastle to the heart of Herefordshire. It was a journey not just of miles but of heritage and commitment. Jenny Layton's father, Tom, along with the family, walked their sheep and cattle through the historic town of Hay-on-Wye, a pilgrimage that forged a deep and lasting connection to their new home.
